thought i could arrive at hitec earlier and get a good place in front... in fact we arrived at kowloon bay one hour earlier, but dunno why we wasted a lot of time finding shops and the bus... so we didn't manage to stand in the front row after all =( 企唔到前排真係爭d... couldn't see anything except the spotlights right above.

the crowd was unexpectedly crazy. kept pushing and jumping like mad... kind of miss the last concert. last time somebody shouted that she wanted to have sex with brian and threw a bra onto the stage. then brian hung it on the mic stand.

they played almost just the new songs from the latest album (battle for the sun). we didn't know even one of those... sor yi yau hai jarng d la. other people seemed to be very familiar with the new songs and kept on jumping. i was nearly crushed by their feet.

fortunately they played 4 old songs for encore. bitter end was classic! they also played infra red and another song (forgot which).. and ended with taste in men which was great.

a little disappointed by their missing out pure morning. it's my first placebo song in life. i hoped they would play space monkey but maybe this one wasn't so popular as their other hits la.

it's a very good performance actually. i've always liked watching their live. the new drummer looked good but maybe a little too 嫩口... and he's so blonde... so different from steve hewitt. really glad to see so many young and older fans out there. placebo were like explosives, sooooo ging at live and could still carry an indie spirit after being big for over 10 years (unlike coldplay who went super commercial).

compare placebo and james blunt's covers for pixies' classic "where is my mind". james blunt dou hai stick to soap-drama-ish love songs suen la.
