I think this is the second time I post Fix You here, but the song is ever so powerful. Not particularly into Coldplay but this is certainly a masterpiece.
When I walk home alone every night the phrase 'lights will guide you home' would automatically float up in my mind. I didn't even notice it's from the song. But in the many freezing nights when I tried so hard even just to press the shutter button since my fingers went numb and stiff in the coldness, these words have always given me the courage to move on.
This Glastonbury version is amazing. Everything might sound cliche - the 'holiness' of the music, the sound wall, the perfect timing for the fireworks... yet it's still touching. And I just realized that Chris Martin is actually more good-looking that I have always thought.
I have been feeling funny these days. Feel so lost and empty when the night comes. Thought of crying but there was nothing to cry about. I want to call but I'm not sure if I should. Should write instead perhaps?
When you try your best, but you don't succeed When you get what you want, but not what you need When you feel so tired, but you can't sleep Stuck in reverse
And the tears come streaming down your face When you lose something you can't replace When you love someone, but it goes to waste Could it be worse?
Lights will guide you home And ignite your bones And I will try to fix you
And high up above or down below When you're too in love to let it go But if you never try you'll never know Just what you're worth
Lights will guide you home And ignite your bones And I will try to fix you
Tears stream down on your face When you lose something you cannot replace Tears stream down on your face And on your face I...
Tears stream down on your face I promise you I will learn from my mistakes Tears stream down on your face And on your face I...
Lights will guide you home And ignite your bones And I will try to fix you
