oasis live in hong kong

my second oasis concert... wasn't as great as the last one coz liam perform duc ma ma dei and the new songs were unknown to me (and probably to most of the audience). noel's guitar was really great though, and the i am the walrus cover was my favourite. champagne supernova was as moving as usual. but to my disappointment they didn't sing live forever...

the '90s were long gone... i can't believe it. where have the great musicians gone? and what do people nowadays listen to? i still remember the thrill of getting the first cd in my life. we didn't even have internet at home back then, and i was glued to the radio.

it all began with the backstreet boys and suede's saturday night, and then i found oasis, won an alanis morissette album from rthk. the cranberries, the pulp, smashing pumpkins, travis, placebo... pet shop boys' new album was out when i was preparing for hkcee. i went back to school instead of going to study rooms. michelle rocha told me about massive attack and trip hop, which is a genre i can't fall in love with until now. mazzy star was my greatest comfort when i failed to find a boyfriend. mojave 3 was sweet too...

suede broke up. dad left. life is hard as it has always been. when you listen to all the classics, you realize that youth was slipping away.

gong gum doh mo liu yeh.. actually one song describes it best: yesterday once more.
