changed the template a little again, hoping the little buttons at the bottom can make visiting this place a little easier.

obsessed with this song recently. beautiful melody and wonderful lyrics, with a touch of sarcastic (british?) humour. i used to hate oasis, but now i find that i actually like definitely maybe quite a lot. despite the fact that they can't compare with suede's rotten beauty, the smiths' grace, pink floyd's depth and intellect or b & s's freshness and wit, i guess one reason for their success is that they are straight forward enough. so direct and straight forward and unthinking that they easily touch your heart and let your emotions out.

"...I hate the way that you are so sarcastic
And you're not very bright
You think that everything you've done's fantastic
Your music's shite it keeps me up all night

And it will be nice to be alone
For a week or two
But I know that I will be
Right back here with you..."

darn.

i think we are nice companions.

i like my eye doctor. but he's probably married. i like the 粴 as well. seems that i've seen him somewhere before. actually i like everybody at the eye centre. but i probably won't see them anymore... after 2 more eyechecks.

this is probably one of the favourite prayers among dgs girls. i've forgot everything my teachers said during assemblies, but i still remember how mr oddie (our science teacher) suddenly sang this prayer one morning on stage... it's touching, and heartbreaking somehow.

Peace Prayer of St. Francis
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace;
where there is hatred, let me sow love;
when there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.
Grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console;
to be understood, as to understand,
to be loved as to love;
for it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

after leaving my secondary school, one day i went back to get my AL/graduation cert(s). my english was very lame at that time. i needed to gather all my courage to knock on staffroom's door and asked mr oddie for the cert in english. so cheap. after studying english for N years i was still afraid of speaking it.

'where are you studying now?'
'hku.'i said.
'what are you doing?' he asked.
'eh...(???)' here i guessed he meant what subject i was doing in university. 'architecture.' i answered with a smile.
'cool isn't it?' (yay i got it right. i understood english.)
'yep. but a lot of hard work.'

it was a sunny day. i looked at the blue sky, looked at our dear campus, and dunnowhy i was filled with hope.
