I've been reading emails from university students applying to be helpers at our big event in West Kowloon. I can't believe how bad they wrote in English... Just shocking. However, English is just a relatively minor issue as we are not looking for good writers, and I don't expect to have too many foreign visitors at our event. The more important thing to note is the way these students express themselves - most of them cannot articulate their thoughts in a logical manner, which perhaps say something about the way they *think*. I hope these poorly-written messages do not really reflect that they are poor thinkers.

Come to think of it, the people we have in our office are actually very 精英. Where can you find a team of 6 who:
- are well-versed in the languages of Chinese and English (and even Japanese, French and Danish)
- can design
- can teach
- can conduct research
- has experience in the media industry
- understands art and curation
- has great personal networks of artists/designers/social innovators

It is really quite amazing.
