Went to the Mojave 3 gig at Backstage with siuyuen last night. Door at 10pm and we waited until 11pm... Classmate and I saw Neil playing solo in a record shop in Islington (near where I last lived in London). When he played on his own it's a more melancholic folk sound, and his guitar playing was brilliant. It's good I got to see the full band this time (and finally got the chance to have a chat with yuen while we waited for the band to get on stage). The band sounded perfect and it's a very indulgent experience. I felt a bit embarrassed though when they played Some Kinda Angel. Once I typed its lyrics out on a typewriter in the common room of my secondary school, and posted it to a guy I didn't like at all just because I felt like it. How embarrassing such memory was... |
