Wednesday, Apr. 13, 2011 9:52 p.m. 非常精彩，但龍蝦被吃的場面令人心痛。 放棄了學校organize的工作坊，跟希臘同學到V&A看Figures and Fictions - contemporary South African Photography去。展覽場地不大但恰到好處，展品選得很好，最讓人驚喜的是展覽破除了我（甚至其他觀眾？）對非洲／非洲藝術／非洲生活的想像與偏見。預期中的紀實攝影的確有出現，但那不一般的構圖卻令照片超出紀實的範圍，傾向於藝術。每個攝影師都很distinctive，當中最喜歡的當是Guy Tillim，拍的明明是非洲的日常生活，卻沒有一般非洲照片中的赤裸裸的愁苦悶熱，而拍出了詩意與各種小小的謎。這大概是名符其實的南非當代攝影展，帶來了三個驚喜：沒有刻意討好或模仿西方藝術、沒有hardcore紀實而是另闢蹊徑、沒有賣弄西方想像中的非洲。 比起同期上映的Deutsche Borse Prize攝影展清新得多。Critics choice也。 借了關於Situationist International的書，封面上的一句話非常震撼：we are only concerned with the moments when life shatters the glaciation of survival. 對情境主義者認識不深，不知此話出處而且意義不明，但，一個人要擁有怎麼樣的狂妄才能寫下這樣的豪語？
