Monday, Aug. 16, 2010 10:17 a.m. 睡到一半，又是雨點狠狠地打在冷氣機上，是早上5點。這裡的天氣還是那麼tricky，白天明明陽光普照，一入黑就刮起那預示下雨的不祥的風，然後到了午夜，每家每戶的燈光都熄滅之後，雨就不留情地下了。 早上十點的這刻，又下著大澳特有的大雨，藍天白雲是上天給遊客的恩惠，住在這裡你就會發覺，風暴比市區頻密，雨特別持久，晚風也特別帶威脅性。城市人來到這個沒有汽車的漁村，便發現要在戶外徒步十五分鐘才會找到符合一般意義的街，而若遇上下雨的話，除了留在家裡便哪兒都去不了，因為一出門就暴露在天空下，完全沒有遮雨走廊之類的buffer。夏天的凌晨，雨打在地上足以把睡在三層小屋的人吵醒，嘗試再睡一會，到早上五六點左右，鳥聲加上人們堆手堆車或者鄰居搬運木柴的聲音，還是讓你自然地醒來。即使天氣不壞，要購物的話，每一種貨品都只有一所店負責出售，譬如這裡只有一間金舖、一間中藥行、一間西藥行、一間布行、一間有職員服務的銀行等等，而且晚上七點後店舖大都關門，夜晚是供大家閒話家常而不是工作或購物的。但正是這種種「不便」，城市人才感受到生活與天氣的互動，才發現城市24小時不停歇的生活是如何不合理。

just came home from a night stroll. my brother came up while i was setting up the table for drawing. he put two albums on the table corner and asked if i got them already. i couldn't believe it - AMK history boxset and Hope Sandoval & The Warm Inventions' Through the Devil Softly! 'then i give them to you,' said my brother. i wanted to say thanks, but i was too amazed that i only managed to say 'gum ho ar...'. and then he left for a shower. that's all he said. they were meant to be my birthday / farewell gift i guess? if so they are the first and only birthday gift i have ever received from him. how come i have never thought of giving him anything on his birthday? why can't i even say happy birthday to him?
